Darlington - Damon C. Warren, 68, of Darlington died Friday in Culver Union Hospital. Mr. Warren had owned and operated Warren Appliances at Darlington. He was a member of Darlington Methodist Church and a past commander of the Darlington American Legion. He had also served on the Darlington scool board. He was a veteran having servied in WWII & Korea. He was born in Montgomery County Sept 30, 1923 to Alva and Thelma Kirk-Warren. He married Frances Hardaway June 20, 1948 at Shannondale. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Fred and Charles; his mother, Thelma Warren of Darlington; a brother, Jack of Linden; two sisters, Bette Vaught of Dalrington and Jean Gunn of Greenwood and 5 grandchildren. The funeral is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday in Burkhart Funeral Home's Darlington Chape, Rev. David Rockhill officiating. Burial in Oddfellows Cemetery, Darlington. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
