ATTICA, Ind. (CNS) - Mrs. Martha A. Warnick, 81, of 800 S. McDonald, died at 1 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 12, 1975) at the Home Hospital in Lafayette. She had been a patient since Jan. 2 and had been ill for six months. Born Aug. 19, 1893, at Milwaukee, Wis., she was the daughter of August and Augusta Conrad Durhein. On June 25, 1917, at Canton, Ohio, she was married to Alva H. Warnick, who died Feb. 12, 1953. They owned and operated a grocery store in Attica. Mrs. Warnick formerly resided at Cayuga and was a resident of Attica for the past 48 years. She attended school at Springfield, Ill., and was a member of the First Lutheran Church, 500 Club and the Ladies Aid Society. She was responsible for the Attica High Band Boosters Club and for having a nurse at the school. Survivors include a son, Robert Warnick of Arcadia. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Dale Maus Funeral Home Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Dale Maus Chapel, with the Rev. Karl Korbel officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family has requested that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the First Lutheran Church of Attica. -- jlr
