Ladoga, Ind Dec 22 – John Frank Warfel, age 85, former editor of the Ladoga Leader and for 42 years a teacher at the Ladoga HS died at his home here Sunday after suffering a heart attack. Born at Clermont, he was a member of the Ladoga Presbyterian Church, a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Knights of Pythias. For a short time he was associated with the Crawfordsville Review. He retired in 1930. His widow, Elizabeth Huntington Warfel; two sons, Herbert Warfel, Plainfield, Ill and George Warfel, Portland Ore and a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Peffley, Sacramento, Cal.
