Kenneth A. Ward, 64, who resided on Rt. 2 near Whitesville, died about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at his farm home. He was a member of the Whitesville Christian Church and was a former member of the Rotary Club. He farmed until his health began failing about a year ago. Born Sept. 11, 1903, in Montgomery County, he was a son of U. Grant and Clara Sanders Ward. He attended school at Crawfordsville. Mr. Ward was married Feb. 27, 1927, to Christine Linn who survives. They were married in Montgomery County. Survivors in addition to the widow are three daughters, Mrs. Donas Scholl of Indianapolis, Mrs. Martha E. Morrison of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Evelyn Fetters of Big Springs, Tex.; two brothers, Clayton S. and Gordon M., both of Crawfordsville; a sister, Miss Marie Ward of Crawfordsville; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nora, and a grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Markward officiating. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Friday.
