Gordon M. Ward, 70, of Rt. 2, Crawfordsville, died at 8:05 p.m. Monday in Culver Hospital. He was a retired fanner and had been employed by the ASC office for 18 years. Mr. Ward was a member of the Whitesville Christian Church. Born Nov. 24, 1905, in Montgomery County, he was a son of Ulyesses Grant and Clara Sanders Ward. He was educated in Montgomery County. He was married to Ruth White in 1931 at Indianapolis. Surviving are the widow; a son, Thomas of Hartford, Conn.; a daughter, Mrs. Connie Thurston of Dallas, Tex.; and two grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased. Private services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Powers Funeral Home at Crawfordsville with the Rev. Don Hainer officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family has requested no memorials and no visitation.
