George Elvin WARD 56 president of W. Annapolis MD Fire Co. since May 1944 died at the Ft. Howard Veteran Hospital where he had been a patient for various periods since January. He died of a heart ailment of many years standing. He was born in Waveland March 17, 1891. Ward was a member of the local fire company since 1929 and was employed by the Baltimore & Annapolis RR as a motorman for 32 years. He was a veteran of WWII and Mason. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary E. Ward 919 Cedar Park Rd, 3 children, George E. Ward, Jr. Mrs. Francis McPherson, both of Cedar Park Road address and Mrs. Roland Carson of 2 Maryland Ave, one grandchildren, Carol Ann Ward, two sisters, Mrs. Fred Mitchell of Waveland and Mrs. John Chapman of Marion, Ind and one brother, Ray Ward of Waveland. Funeral services were conducted at St. Anne's Episcopal Church with burial in Cemetery of All Hallows Church Davidsville, Md. - typed by kbz
