Ward - Ella Myers

Mrs. Ella Marie Ward, 81, a resident of the Wallace community most of her life died early Monday May 2, 1977 at her home. She had been ill two years. Born Nov. 10, 1895, in Indianapolis, she was the foster daughter of J. D. and Viola Myers. She was married March 2, 1913, near Wallace to Thomas E. Ward, who survives. Mrs. Ward had attended Frog Pond, Ellis and Hillsboro schools. She was a member of the Wallace Christian Church, Ladies Aid and Jackson Township Home Economics Club. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dowie (Ruby) Cooper of Crawfordsville; two sons, Carl of Hillsboro and Earl of Wallace; a brother, Ray South of Indianapolis; nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, two half sisters, a half brother and two grandchildren. Services at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial in the Wallace Lutheran Cemetery. – jlr
