Former G. O. P. County Chairman, Recorder, was 79 years old John F. Warbritton, 79, former Republican county chairman and widely known Montgomery county real estate broker, died late Sunday afternoon at his home, 406 south Washington street. He had been sick since last October, suffering with a heart ailment. Mr. Warbritton served eight years as recorder of Montgomery county, and four years as county chairman of the Republican party, and through these activities gained a wide acquaintance all over the county. He was also superintendent of parks in the city administration of Dr. Bert E. May, and for the past seven months had been a member of the board of appraisers for school fund loans in this county. He was active as a real estate broker during most of the last 25 years, but poor health had forced virtual retirement recently. Mr, Warbritton was born in New Market March 6, 1864. He is survived by his wife, Laura, and one daughter, Mrs. Blanche Stout, Crawfordsville. A son, Ernest, died overseas while serving in the first World War. The body was taken to the Utterback & Murphy funeral home, and later was returned to the family residence where friends may pay their respects. Services will be at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the residence, 406 south Washington street, with Dr. C. Howard Taylor of the First Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Oak Hill cemetery
