New Market, Aug 22 -- Mrs. Amelia A. Warbritton, 79, wife of Samuel N. Warbritton, died at her home here at 6:30 this morning after a prolonged illness with cancer of the liver. Mrs. Warbritton had been confined to her bed for 8 weeks and her death had been expected for several days. She was one of the pioneer women of this vicinity and was one of the most highly respected women New Market has ever known. Her patience during her last suffering was remarkable, not a word of complaint being heard from her during the long illness. Mrs. Warbritton was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Seaman, pioneer residents of this part of the county. She was married to Mr. Warbritton (Samuel) over 60 years ago, their 60th anniversary having been celebrated last December. She is survived by her husband, who is 85; two sons, John F. of Crawfordsville and Albert W. of this place; two daughters Mrs. Emma Kern and Mrs. Lou Brown both of this place. One brother, John Seaman of Seymour, Iowa and a sister, Mrs. Louisa James of Topeka, Kan also survive. Mrs. Warbritton was a true Christian woman thruout her life. She had been a member of the Christian Church here for 60 years. Funeral services will be held from the Christian Church here Thursday morning at 10 in charge of Rev. Headrick.
