James WARBINTON – born 21 July 1796 in North Carolina Died: Crawfordsville 10 Sept 1858 Crawfordsville. Buried Finley Chapel near New Market – Wife applied for pension – said he was in (allegedly) Capt. Horsebrook’s Company, Ohio Militia. He and Jane Gillespie were married in Butler County, Ohio four years after the war on 21 May 1816. They had at least five children, including William, Margaret A. and John their youngest. The family came to Montgomery County purchasing government property 20 April 1826 northwest of what is now Whitesville in Sec 22, Twp 18N Range 4W.
