New Richmond—Lewis Walp, 92, New Richmond, died at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, March 12, 1989 in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville.
  He was born June 14, 1896 in Dupont, Ind. He was married Sept. 22, 1919 to Olive Marie Marsteller, who survives.

  He had resided in the New Richmond community since 1974, moving there from Alamo. He was a retired auto mechanic and farmer and was a World War I Army veteran.

  Surviving besides his wife are a son, Robert, Gasport; two daughters, Mrs. Geneva Mitchell, Wingate, and Mrs. Russell (Shirley) Fruits, Route 1, New Richmond; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

  Friends may call after 4 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown. Funeral services will be there at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial will be in Alamo Cemetery. – thanks to s
