Grover Cleaveland Wallace, 63, postmaster at Cates for the past 15 years, died at Culver Hospital at 4:45 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.  He had been in declining health the past few weeks. The son of Samuel H. Wallace and Rueanna Hibbs Wallace, Mr. Wallace was born near Cates, in Fountain County, Feb 22, 1885. He was married to Miss Rasetta Foster.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Velvie Lamson and Mrs. Freed Myers both of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Thelma Nixon of Kingman and Mrs. Betty Abernathy of Covington; three sisters, Mrs. Dora SHell of Veedersburg; Mrs. Artie Crowder of Waveland and Mrs. Katie Thompson of Dover; a brother, J. Sherman Wallace of Cates and six grandchildren.

Mr. Wallace was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Yeddo and the Methodist Church in Boswell.
