Crawfordsville Sept 18 – Mrs. Bessie Wallace, 80, until three years ago a resident of Lafayette, died at the Ben Hur Home here this morning at 9:30 o’clock. Mrs. Wallace, nee Bessie Montgomery was born in Ripley County, Ohio. At the age of 16 she moved to Shawnee Mound and later married Aaron Wallace. She lived in that vicinity for several years before going to Lafayette where for some time she was a leader of the Girl Scouts. Surviving are one son, Arthur Wallace of Lafayette and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from the Utterback & Murphy Funeral Home here Thursday afternoon at 1 o’clock with burial in Wheeler Cemetery, Shawnee Mound. - kbz
