New Market, Ind., October 15 - This morning at 6:00 at the home of Mrs. Mary Miller occurred the death of Mrs. Julia Walker an aged lady of Mineral wells, Texas; after an illness of but a few days which was contracted since deceased came here on a visit.   Mrs. Julia Walker was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paschal Wilhite, pioneer residents of Montgomery county, whose old home place was at the intersection of the Terre Haute and New Market roads, seven miles southwest of the city.  She was one of three children, her two brothers dying in young manhood and Mrs. Walker inherited the large estate left by her father who was a prosperous farmer of the early days of Montgomery county.  She had been five times married, her first husband being named Monfort.  To this union a child was born, but passed away quite young and her husband died following injuries received while a soldier in the civil war.  She was then married to Charlie Fletcher, a well known man of the county and they resided on the old home place until his death.  Eight years ago, Mrs. Walker moved to Mineral Wells, Texas, where she was married to J.M. Walker, who survives her.  Except during this period Mrs. Walker's entire life has been spent in and near New Market.  She reared to manhood Bert Johnson of this place.  She was one of the largest land owners of Montgomery county and has extensive holdings in Texas.     The funeral services will be held at the Baptist church Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 in charge of Rev. Fuson.  Interment will be made at Crawfordsville. – thanks to Kim H
