Mr. JL Walker, father of NR Walker of Waveland died at his home at Paoli, Indiana Saturday evening at 10:30. Mr. Walker had not enjoyed good health for about 10 years; a week prior to his death he suffered his second stroke, but retained his faculties to the end. He had passed his 87th birthday and he and his wife had been married 66 years last April 21. They were the parents of 11 children, 3 of whom preceded him in death. The funeral was conducted Tuesday at the Oak Spring Church and burial was there in the cemetery which is near the farm home where they lived before coming to Paoli 12 years ago.-- kbz
