Mrs. Etta Alice Walker, 76, died at 2 p.m. Wed. at her home on Crawfordsville RFD 4, near Elmdale after a 3-years illness with a complication of disease. Born in Montgomery County, July 27, 1863, Mrs. Walker was a daughter of Adam and Mary Jackson Walker. She was married to William C. Walker, Sept 20, 1890, in Illinois. Mrs. Walker was a member of the Liberty Congregational Christian Church. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Mae Walker and Mrs. Gertrude SWEIDAN; a sister, Mrs. Charles SWEIDAN; two granddaughters, Esther May and Eleanor Alice Sweidan and a niece, Marion Ruth Sweidan. Her husband preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Liberty Church with the Rev. Mr. Walters of Mellott officiating.

Ettie Alice Walker was born July 27, 1867 (sic) the daughter of Adam H. and Mary E. Walker. On September 20, 1890, she was united in marriage with William C. Walker, who preceded her in death 27 years ago, July 9, 1913. To this union were born two children, Mary Rebecca and Anna Gertrude. She spent her life in this community and was loved by all who knew her. She united with the Center Christian Church and later with the Liberty Church. She was a faithful attendant and worker as long as her health permitted. She departed this life June 26 and leaves to mourn her passing two daughters, Mary Rebecca, at home; and Mrs. Gabriel Swidan of Allen Park, Michigan; two granddaughters, Esther May and Eleanor Alice Swidan; a sister, Mrs. Charles Swidan and one niece Marian Swidan of Crawfordsville, besides a host of other relatives and friends. - typed by kbz
