Advance, April 23 - Elmon Earl Walker, 29, shot himself through the heart at his home at 5 o'clock this afternoon. Illness was believed the reason for his suicide. Walker, father of two small children was connected with his father in the local sawmill.  He had been ill the past 3-or-4 years. He was the youngest son of EL and Nora Darnell Walker. Surviving are the parents; the widow; two children, Marilyn, 6 and Loren Kenneth, 5 and two brothers, Wayne and Oak Walker, both of near Advance and a sister, Mrs. Don WHite of Advance. The deceased was born near Advance October 6, 1909. His mother preceded him in death, a stepmother surviving with the father. Walker was married at Los Angeles May 16, 1931 to GOldie Pazzanzi. With the exception of three and half years spent in the Navy the deceased spent his entire life in Boone County. He had numerous relatives besides the immediate family most of them living in Kentucky, West Virginia and Michigan. The funeral will be held from the Advance Methodist Church at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. Rev. JS White will officiate and burial will be made in Old Union Cemetery.
