-- Mrs. Julia Kathryn Waldon, 64, a resident of Crawfordsville since 1947, died Saturday morning at Culver Hospital following a serious illness of two days. She had previously lived in New York City and Indianapolis where she attended Shortridge and Manual High Schools. Mrs. Waldon was born Dec 13, 1901, in New York City, the daughter of James W. and Frances Riendeau Dougherty. She married Jewel Everett Waldon Sept 30, 1922. Surviving are three sons, James Alfred, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl; Francis Edward, Rt. 6, Crawfordsville, and John charles, Ft. Wayne and a daughter, Mrs. Judth Ann McGaughey of Bainbridge. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1955 and a son, Jewel, Jr. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry F. Ward officiating. The rosary will be read at Hunt & Son Funeral Home at 8 p.m. Monday. Friends may call at the funeral home. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. -- kbz
