George Alfred Waldon, 92, farmer most of his life, died suddenly in bed early Wednesday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Fulford, 808 Liberty St. Death was due to a coronary occlusion. Mr. Waldon was one of a family of 26 children, of whom all but three are dead. Born Feb. 2, 1871, at Rock Castle, Ky., he was the son of John and Rene Adams Waldon. He was married in 1896 in Rock County, Ky., to Cynthia Thompson. She died in 1940. He came to Crawfordsville when he was 17 years old. The survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Marie Carver and Mrs. Fulford, both of Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Kathryn Carroll of Hillsboro; three sons, Glen and Floyd Waldon, both of Crawfordsville, and Lester Waldon of Pittsburgh; a brother, Ruben Waldon of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Cynthia Mink and Mrs. Nannie Pointer, both of Kentucky; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sons and a daughter. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
