Waldon - Edith Barker

Edith Mae Waldon, 76, of 1605 John St., died Wednesday evening in Culver Hospital. She was a member of Browns Valley Christian Church and had attended First Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Waldon was born in Boone County on Aug. 4, 1900, a daughter of Albert and Emma James Barker. She married Ruben Waldon in 1916. He died Jan. 1, 1966. Surviving are four sons, Vernon and Robert of Crawfordsville, Reuben E. of Mokelumne Hills, Calif., and Donald of Lafayette; three daughters, Mrs. J. W. (Maxine) Gough of Greencastle, Mrs. Lloyd (Vivian) Alexander of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Robert (Betty) McClure of Roseburg, Ore.; her stepfather, Virgil Miller of Frankfort; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley Gerboth officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. – jlr
