Walden - Mahala Carter

-- Alva Walden of Clinton was here on Saturday. He was on his way home from Tompkinsville, Ky where he went on the previous Saturday to attend the funeral of his mother, Mrs. Mahala Walden who died at the home of his brother, Bedford Walden. She was 68 and died from cancer of the liver. Garfield Walden, Mrs. John Smiley and Mrs. Paul Barcus also attended the funeral. Mrs. Walden left 10 children, 31 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was well known here, having lived here with different ones of her grandchildren. -- kbz
