New Market, Jan 30 -- Dr. CH Walden of this place passed away last night after a five months illness of tuberculosis of the lungs. Dr. W. was 63 and well known in this County, where he practiced medicine for many years. He was born near Russellville and was married to Clara Galey in Dec 1880. To this union was born one son, Fred who died when 21 years old. Dr. Walden studied medicine under Dr. BF Hutchings of Crawfordsville and practiced at his profession for two years at Alamo and Lapland, after which he moved to New Market, where he remained the balance of his life. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. He leaves three brothers: Horace, James and Walter all of whom live in Oakland, Calif. One sister preceded him to the grave. Dr. Walden's wife died three years ago. The funeral will probably take place Wednesday. Interment at the Masonic Cemetery Dr. W. was a man well liked by all and will be greatly missed. - kbz
