Wakeman -- 1873
Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal Thursday, 13 February 1873
A man by the name of Wakeman, who lived near Lafayette, committed suicide last Thursday by shooting himself in the side with a shot gun. This so preyed upon his mind that he preferred to take his own life rather than become the instrument of death of his wife or children. - s
