Lola M. Wakeland, 99, Veedersburg died at 1:35 Wednesday p.m. September 24, 2003 in Waters of Covington Nursing Home where she had been a resident for 3 years. She was born March 31, 1904 in Sylvania, daughter of Charles & Fannie Fogleman Sigler. She married Manson A. Wakeland in 1920 in Warern County. He preceded in death 1972. She lived most of her life in the area. She was a supervisor at Kingsbury Ordinance at LaPorte. She attended 1st Christian Church Veedersburg. Survivors include two sons, John (Dortha ) Wakeland, Loganpsort and Garnette Gene Wakeland, Veedersburg; a sister, Madyln Hall, Perrysville 13 grandchildren, several greats and nieces & nephew. She was preceded in death by a daughter, two sisters and brother. Funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday in Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg with Rev. Don Smothers officiating. Burial in Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg. --kbz
