Wakefield - Joann Jay

- Joann Jay Wakefield of Crown Point, former resident of Crawfordsville died Saturday morning in St. Anthony's at Crown Point. She had moved from the Crawfordsville area about 15 years ago. Mrs. Wakefield was born Oct 27, 1943 at Muskogee, OK a daughter of Donald and Dorothy Jay. Surviving are the husband, Robert; two sons, Mark and Josh; two daughters, Susan and Becky; a brother, Richard Jay; the paternal grandmother, Lucille Jay of Greencastle; the maternal grandmother, Antoinette Duncan; and a nephew, Ryan Jay. Services will be at 10 Tuesday in Independence Presbyterian Church, 79th & Taft Streets, Merrillville. Family requests memorial be made to the church.
