Mrs. Mabel I. Wainscott, 80, 416 E. Jefferson St., died at her home just after noon Wednesday. She was born near Waynetown Dec. 10, 1883, to Joseph and Nancy Bannon Baldwin. She married Clarence Wainscott in 1929. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Wainscott was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church. She was educated near Waynetown. She is survived by one son, Edwin Price of Orlando, Fla.; six daughters, Mrs. Thomas Eads of Frankfort, Mrs. Charles Gilmore, Mrs. Ernest Beebee and Mrs. Charles Carter, all of Ventura, Calif., Mrs. Guy Cunningham of Danville, Ill., and Mrs. Walter Oppy of Crawfordsville; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Powers Funeral Home. Rev. Guy E. Tremaine will officiate. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
