Vories - Bessie Johnson

Mrs. Bessie Vories died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Johnson on south Wallace avenue yesterday morning at six o'clock. She came from her home in Monon last April, when she became rather ill with lung trouble, and has been living with her parents since that time. The deceased is twenty-seven years of age. Mrs. Vories was born in Kentucky, but with her family moved to this city about twenty years ago. She lived here twelve years, and married Earl Vories, also of this city. Later the couple moved to Monon, where they lived until last April. She is survived by two children, Dorothy age 5 and Zelma, age 8; her husband, her parents, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Charles Moore, and Mrs. George Campbell of here, Mrs. John Frazier of Mt. Sterling, Ky., Albert Johnson of Cyanthiana, Ky., and Alice, Lucy, Jess and Falph [sic] all of whom live at home. The funeral will be held from the home Tuesday afternoon at two thirty, and burial will be made at the Masonic cemetery.
