February 18 - Frank Vaughn, who resides southwest of Waynetown has received word of the death on Monday, February 12, of his brother, Howard Vaughn, age 68, at Sedro Wooley, Washington. Howard Vaughn was born on August 7, 1871 near Waynetown, the son of John D. and Esther Hunter Vaughn. He was married to Pearl Biddle and they resided on what is now the Ben Connor place. Thirty-five years ago, with their family, they moved to Washington for permanent residence. Frank Vaughn last visited them about two years ago. Howard Vaughn had been in failing health the past two months. Mrs. Vaughn and one son preceded him in death. His survivors are four daughters and one son, all in the state of Washington; his brother Frank Vaughn, and several nieces and nephews in this community. Funeral and burial services will be held in Washington Thursday
