Mrs. Effie WILKINSON VANNICE, wife of WC Vannice, passed away at Culver Hospital Friday night at 7:25 of heart trouble and pneumonia, following an operation for goiter Tuesday. Mrs. Vannice was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Wilkinson and was born four miles south of this city on Sept 14, 1873. She was married to WC Vannice on Feb 6, 1905 and resided seven miles south of the city near the McClaskey corner. Surviving are the husband, two brothers, Aaron and William r. and six stepchildren. The funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 at the South Christian Church in Darlington in charge of the Rev. Zenor. Burial will take place in the IOOF [Independent Order of Odd Fellows] Cemetery.
