Dorothy Marie Vannice, 82, of 311 W. Market St., died at 5:24 p.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital. Mrs. Vannice was a member of the First Christian Church, Circle III, American War Mothers and World War II Barracks. She was graduated from Darlington High School. Born Jan 20, 1899, at Lafayette, she was a daughter of Frank H. and Melissa Shigley Finlay. In 1919, she married Howard B. Vannice, who preceded her in death. She is survived by five sons, William, Richard, James and Edward of Crawfordsville, and Donald of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Alice Mae) Presser of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Ronald (Nancy Jane) Hurley, of Bradenton, Fla.; two sisters, Maeotta Finley of Crawfordsville and Waneta Armstrong of Anderson; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services are at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Brigman officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery North. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. -- smc
