Vannice - Charles Lawrence

Charles Lawrence, the thirteen months old infant of Mr. and Mrs. Will Vannice, died at the family residence one mile north of Whitesville Monday morning, March 27, of brain and bowel trouble. Short funeral services were held at the home Tuesday morning conducted by Stanley McGaughey after which the remains were taken to North Salem for burial.

The death angel has entered the home of William and Elizabeth Vannice and called their son, Charles Lawrence, aged one year, one month and six days to his home beyond the skies. He had been sick almost all of his short life, yet he bore his suffering patiently. Lawrence has gone, we cannot hear his sweet voice, but we know he has joined the chorus with the angels in heaven. He leaves a father, mother, two brothers and one sister, besides a number of other relatives and friends to mourn his loss.
The funeral services were conducted at the family residence on Tuesday morning by Stanly McGaughey. Interment was at North Salem -- thanks to our great typist, "S" for these
