Ladoga, Sept 12 -- Abraham VanGorder, aged 76, died at his home here at 5 this morning as the results of a stroke of paralysis suffered Thursday night, Sept 4. Mr. VanGorder was married in the evening of that date and a few hours after the marriage was the victim of the stroke. He did not completely regain consciousness at any time after the paralysis first affected him. His bride of a few days is Elizabeth Willard VanGordner (sic). The marriage last week was the aged man's fourth and his widow had been married once before. The deceased was an employee of the Ladoga Canning Company and was well known throughout Clark Twosnhip. He was born in Boone County May 16, 1840. Besides his widow the aged man is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. William L. Davis and Mrs. William J. Davis of Ladoga and Mrs. Henry Roberts of near New Ross. Funeral services will be held from the home of Mrs. Wiliam J. Davis here at one Sunday afternoon, the Rev. WJ Northcutt being in charge. Burial will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery - kbz
