Waynetown—Doris Lynn Lowery VanCourt, 51, 103 N. Liberty, Waynetown, died early Friday, May 5, 1989 in her home. She had been ill several months.

  She was born Sept. 8, 1937 in Lafayette. She was married in 1956 to William Lowery. Her second marriage was in 1986 to Jerry VanCourt, who survives.

  She graduated from New Market High School and emergency medical technician training at Ivy Tech. She lived in Waynetown all of her life except for two years when she lived in Lafayette.

  She was a member of Fern Chapter 194, Order of Eastern Star in Hillsboro.

  Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Larry Lowery and Kevin Lowery, both of Waynetown; three brothers, Bill Dyer, Lafayette, and Robert and Roger Dyer, both of California; one sister, Mrs. Phyllis Peters, Fort Wayne, and four grandchildren.
  Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday in Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown, with the Rev. James Dunbar officiating. Burial was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette. -s
