Vancleave - Viola Armstrong

New Market - Mrs. Viola VanCleave, 86, died at 10:40 a.m. Thursday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She had been ill about four days. Born Jan 19, 1874, she was the daughter of Henry Clay and Susan McCann Armstrong. She was born on a farm south of here and lived on the farm her entire life. She married Joseph Warren VanCleave Jan 14, 1901. They were married here. Mrs. VanCleave attended New Market schools and a business college at Indianapolis. She was a member of the New Market Christian Church. Survivors include a son, Wayne VanCleave of New Market, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral rites are set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Reeves Funeral Home here with Rev. Calvin Miller officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home. - kbz
