Vancleave - Joseph Warren

New Market - Joseph Warren VanCleave, 84-year-old-retired farmer of this community, died at 10 a.m. Friday in the Rudisill Nursing Home at Crawfordsville. He had been an invalid 15 years. Mr. VanCleave was born near New Market Dec 8, 1874, a son of Daniel B. and Anna E. Reynolds VanCleave. He was married Jan 14, 1901 in New Market to Viola Armstrong, who survives. He was a member of the New Market Christian Church, where he served 40 years as a Sunday School teacher and elder. He was a director in the Farmer State Bank for a number of years. Surviving besides the widow are a son, Wayne of New M; a sister Mrs. Clara VanCoons (sic) of Crawfordsville and 8 nephews and nieces. Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Noble Reeves Funeral Home here with Rev. Calvin Miller officiating and burial in Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Saturday. - kbz
