Vancleave - Evelyn Caldwell

Darlington, April 3 -- Mrs. Evelyn Van Cleave, 78, widow of Wallace Van Cleave, died at 5:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in Culver Hospital after an illness of three months due to complications.
Mrs. Van Cleave was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Caldwell and was born near Lizton, June 4, 1868.
A daughter, Mrs. Lulu Hensley, of St. Louis, survives, together with eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Two daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Cain and Mrs. Lee Cosby, preceded her in death. Two other daughters died in infancy. Funeral services will be conducted from the Butler, Russell and Hitch funeral home in Darlington at an hour to be determined later. The body will be at the funeral home where friends may call.
