Vancleave - Benjamin Franklin

Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock occurred the death of Benjamin F. Vancleave, a prominent and respected citizen of New Market. Mr. Vancleave's death was not unexpected as he had been a sufferer for over a year from Bright's disease and heart trouble. He was 42 years old and his wife and 4 children survive him. He was engaged in the livery business in New Market and was well known throughout the community as a horse dealer. He was a member of the Methodist Church at New Market of the Modern Woodemen in which order he carried $2,000 in insurance and was also a member of the Knights of Pythias. The latter order will have charge of the funeral services, which will occur Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Methodist Church in New Market. Interment at Indian Creek Cemetery. - kbz
