Wallace G. Vance, 79, a former resident of Crawfordsville died Monday morning on a golf course near his home in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Vance was born Sept 6, 1891 in Crawfordsville to Nathaniel and Mary Griest Vance. He married Lola Frakes who died in 1958. The deceased was a graduate of Crawfordsville HS and attended Wabash College. He resided in Chicago and Cleveland while employed for 40 years by General Box Co of Chicago. Mr. Vance often visited here with his cousin, Mrs. Hugo Prince. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Prince are a niece, Mrs. Martha Fey and a nephew, Robert Maratta, both of Cleveland. Mr. Vance was preceded in death by a daughter who died in 1919. Funeral arrangements are pending at Hunt & Son Funeral Home - kbz

Services for Wallace G. Vance will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday by Rev. Larrimore K. Wicket in Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Vance, a former resident of Crawfordsville died Monday (Oct 12) morning at Cleveland, Ohio. - kbz
