Vance - Martha Morgan

Mrs. Martha A. VANCE, widow of Isaac M. Vance, one of the prominent men of the county in his day, died at Culver Union Hospital this afternoon at half past 2 of the infirmities of old age. Mrs. Vance has been in failing health for over a year but has been confined to the hospital only a week. Mrs. Vance was the daughter of Nathaniel Morgan and was a sister of Harry Morgan of this city, also of the late WW Morgan. She was married in this city to Mr. Vance many years ago and has lived here practically all her life. She was an excellent Christian mother, having been a consistent member of the Episcopalian Church for many years. Her husband died 15 years ago, and since that time she has been living with her two daughters, Mrs. Hug Kelsey and Mrs. Mary Wilson. She was 71. The following children survive: George Vance; Nathaniel Vance; Mrs. Hugh Kelsey; Pete Vance and Harry Vance of this city and Mrs. Mary Wilson of Indianapolis. No arrangements have yet been made.
