Death of Mrs. Vance: We regret to state that Mrs. Vance, wife of Col. David Vance died very suddenly this morning while on a short visit at Dr. Herndon’s. She has been gradually declining for several months, bore her sufferings with a Christian resignation and died as she had lived, with a bright and cheering hope of a blessed immortality beyond the grave. – kbz
