Administrator’s Sale: Notice is hereby given that I will sell at public auction on Saturday the first day of March next at the residence of David Vance of Montgomery County, Indiana deceased all his personal property consisting of one sorrel mare, cattle, one top buggy.  Corn in the Crib, wheat in the mill, the undivided one half of 12 acres and one third of 8 acres of wheat in the ground and household and kitchen furniture, etc. A credit of 9 months will be given on all sums over three dollars, the purchaser giving his note with approved surety waiving valuation and appraisement laws. Rate of Taxes – state tax 15 cts on each $100; 50  cts on each poll; county tax 35 cts on each $100 and 50 cts on each poll; school tax 10 cts on each $100 in all the townships; road tax 5 cts on each $100 in CC; Ripley; Brown; Union; Mad; Franklin; Walnut and Clark; road tax 6 cts on each $100 in Wayne township; 10 cts on each $100 in Sugar Creek; township tax 5 cts on each $100 in CC; Ripley; Union and Madison; township tax 8 cts on each $100 in Wayne and Sugar Creek; township tax 6cts on each $100 in Brown and Franklin; tax 3 cts in Scott; township tax 10 cts on each $100 in Walnut; township tax 7 cts on each $100 in Clark; Sinking Fund tax 2 cts on each $100 in all townships; tax for building School Houses 50 cts on each $100 in Madison and Walnut.  DAVID VANCE, T. of MC Sept 22, 1854 (Treasurer of Montgomery County).
