"Montgomery County Deaths" George W. Vanarsdall, Mace, died on Thursday of last week; aged 66 years. Crawfordsville Daily Journal, Feb 14, 1895 Mrs. Fannie A. Vanarsdall, relict of the late George Vanarsdall, died Feb 13, at the home of her son James, 7 mi. north of this city. The funeral will be held Fr. afternoon, interment at the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Mrs. Vanarsdall was b. in Harrodsburg, Mercer Co, Ky in 1816. She and her husband moved to this city in 1853, where she has since resided. She was a member of the Methodist Church and a devout Christian. She was the mother of four children. Her eldest daughter, Miss Ella, died when quite young, and Mrs. James J. Drake d. Feb 16, 1891. Two children survive her, Mrs. WT Hazelton of this city and James A. Vanarsdall, who mourn the loss of their loving and devote mother. - kbz

George W. Vanarsdall, an old and highly respected citizen of Mace died at his late home about noon, August 4. He was born in Butler County, Ohio, in 1832, and moved to this county in 1857. His end was peaceful, he being surrounded by his faithful wife and children. They are a daughter, Mrs. Etta Swift, and sons, Garrett Vanarsdall, of New London, Ia., and John Vanarsdall, of Crawfordsville.
The funeral will occur from the M. E. Church at Mace this afternoon at 3 o’clock, preached by Rev. Trotter, assisted by Rev. Francis and Riley. Interment will be at K. of P. Cemetery.
