Vincent W. Utterback, 58, a former resident of the city, died Sunday evening at the home of a son, Charles O. Utterback in Reedsburg, Wis. He was stricken while on a visit. Born 18 July 1891 in the Elmdale neighborhood, NW of hre, Mr. Utterback was the son of John and Amelia Weidner Utterback. He married Lucia Swank Owen July 2, 1914 the wife preceding him in death 4 August 1947. Mr. Utterback, who had lived in Vincennes since leaving here was a railway mail clerk on the Monon. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Surviving are three sons, Charles O. Utterback of Reedsburg, Wis; John A. Utterback of Indianapolis and V. Wayne Utterback of Badger, Wis; 3 grandsons; 3 granddaughters; a brother, Chelsey Utterback of Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Waye and Mrs. Hugo Merrill both of Crawfordsville and two half sisters, Mrs. Charles Tiffany of Wingate and Mrs. Nancy McClamroch of Crawfordsville. Besides the wife, a brother Fern Utterback of Mt. Pleasant Mich preeded him in death. Brief funeral services were to be held at Bartlett Funeral Home in Reedsburg, Wis Monday evening. The body will be brought here Tuesday afternoon. Masonic funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Bright Funeral Home with burial at Waynetown Masonic cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home Tuesday evening. - kbz
