James H. Utterback, age 79 years, died suddenly Friday evening at 7:40 o’clock at his home in Roachdale following a heart attack. He had been in ill health for 11 months. Mr. Utterback was born near Roachdale, the son of Ferdinand and Elizabeth Utterback, but when a small child moved to Missouri with his parents. Later in 1876 he moved back to Montgomery County. Mr. Utterback moved to Roachdale in 1900. He was a member of the Bethel Christian Church and IOOF Lodge. He was an employee of the B&O Railroad for 3 0 years and was retired on a pension with a perfect record in the fall of 1931. He is survived by one niece, Mrs. OC Talbott and a nephew, Frank Moreland, both of Roachdale. Last rites will be held from the residence in Roachdale Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock with the Rev. Henry Ashley of Lebanon in charge. Interment will be in the Roachdale cemetery. - kz
