Twiddy - Sylvester

Sylvester Twiddy, a well known farmer died at his home near Wingate Saturday morning at 7:30 o'clock. He had been in poor health for several years but this condition was not serious until about 9 days prior to his death. Mr. Twiddy was born Dec 29, 1853 on the farm where he died and where he spent his entire life. He was the son of Thomas and Phoebe Oliver Twiddy He was married Oct 19, 1881 to Mary D. Twiddy who survives. He leaves one son, Floyd Twiddy, and four daughters, Arminta and Frieda, at home, Mrs. Russell Neal living near Wingate and Mrs. Samuel Davidson of newtown. He leaves one brother, Charles Twiddy of Wingate and one sister, Mrs. Charles Grenard of Lafayette. The funeral was conducted at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Christian Church in Wingate, Rev. PE Burton, pastor of the ME Church officiating, assisted by Rev. AM Hainer. Burial was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery
