Twiddy - Sarah Burns

Early Tuesday morning the sad news was brought to town that Mrs. Sarah E. Twiddy, who lives about three miles southwest of here, had suddenly died. She had been sick for about two weeks but had become so much better that her friends had hopes of her hasty recovery. Mrs. Twiddy was born Nov. 7, 1859 in Champaign County, Ill. She leaves a husband, three children, two sisters, and one brother to mourn her loss. She was the daughter of Thomas and Scena Burns and was married to Jas. E. Twiddy, March 13, 1878. The funeral was held from the Christian Church at 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev. C. W. Postill, of the M. E. Church, officiating. Interment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. -s
