Source: Crawfordsville Review Feb 19, 1924 p 3
Edgar A. Turpin was born in Hendricks County, Feb 11 1877. He was married to Dora Switzer of Crawfordsville Sept 30, 1910. He had lived in Saginaw six years and was a member of the Christian Church of that place. He passed away Feb 10, 1924, of blood poisoning after a short illness. He leaves a widow, his mother, Mrs. Caroline Monreau of Indianapolis, a half sister, Mrs. Ethel Murry of Cleveland, Ohio and an aunt, Mrs. Larner Neal of Danville … I wish to thank the Teachers for the beautiful flowers sent me at the time of the death of my husband – Mrs. Edgar Turpin.
