Funeral services were held Wednesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home for Curtis Wayne Turner, 55, Rt 6 who died Monday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. Mr. Turner, a heavy equipment operator and trucker, was a member of the Baptist Church in Mississippi, Masonic Lodge of Westville and the Teamsters Union.
He was born in Mississippi on Dec 12, 1915, a son of Colonel and Anna Turner. He was married to Kathryn Boone in 1959. Survivors include the wife, a son; Lt. Comdr Charles W. Turner in the Phillippines; three stepsons, Thomas Boone of Crawfordsville; James Boone of Crawfordsville; James Boone of Tulksa, Okla and Robert Boone of Elkhart; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Rodger Halsey of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Winfred of Amory, Miss and Wyester of Memphis, Tenn, two sisters, Mrs. Lynn Fally of Covveyville, Miss and Mrs. Layne Dixson of Bruce, Miss. and the mother, Mrs Anna Turner of Bruce, Mis. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
