D. M. Turner, a highly respected citizen who lived one mile south of town, died Tuesday evening, aged 51 years. Mr. Turner was one of our best citizens and by his death New Ross and vicinity suffers a great loss. He came here from Otisco about eighteen years ago.  His first wife has been dead six years. His second wife was Miss Lou Webb, who with two children, Lute and Jewell, survives him.  Mr. Turner was a member of the Christian Church. The funeral was preached at the house at 2 o’clock by Rev. Plunkett, of Crawfordsville. Interment was at the Jesse Cemetery.  We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved ones, but they should weep not, for their loss is his eternal gain. -s
