Waynetown - Mrs. Belle Truax, 83, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday at Culver Hospital.  She had been ill and in the hospital for about three months.  She as born June 3, 1876 south of Waynetown, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Matilda Fruits Keys. She was married Nov 13, 1901 to John Truax at Yountsville who preceded her in death.  She was a member of Waynetown Methodist Church, past matron and charter member of Order of Eastern Star at Alamo, past president and active member of the Alamo Parent-Teacher Assn and member of the Ladies Aid Society.

She attended Green School near Waynetown.  She spent most of her married life on the Truax farm north of Alamo, leaving there after the death of her husband. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Hallett of Hillsboro and Mrs. Martha Brennan of Portsmouth, VA; a son, Harold B. Truax of Crawfordsville; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Carrie Utterback of Waynetown and Mrs. Cora Cavin of Bloomington, Ind; and a brother, Everett Keys of Camden. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Demis Pate.

Services will be at the Servies Funeral Home. Rev. Guy E. Tremaine will officiate. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Sunday. - kbz
